Synopsis
The movie Gremlins 2: The New Batch (1990) is a horror comedy sequel directed by Joe Dante. Set years after the events of the original film, it follows the chaos that ensues when a new pack of mischievous gremlins is accidentally unleashed in a New York high-rise.
The movie Gremlins 2: The New Batch (1990) centers around Billy Peltzer, played again by Zach Galligan, now working for media mogul Daniel Clamp in his state-of-the-art Clamp Center in New York City. By happenstance, Gizmo the Mogwai ends up in the building and once again gets wet, spawning a new generation of cocoon-spinning gremlins. Before long, the Clamp Center is overrun by the little green monsters who delight in destruction and mayhem.
The movie Gremlins 2: The New Batch (1990) features the gremlins tearing up the Clamp Center floor by floor. They tamper with the building’s elaborate control systems, send the tenants into chaos, and even micromanage their own film itself by physically assaulting a projectionist in the theater. Billy teams back up with his girlfriend Kate, played by Phoebe Cates, to try and stop the gremlin outbreak while avoiding the eccentric head geneticist Dr. Catheter. After many close calls and gremlin encounters, Billy and Kate destroy the creatures by exposing them to sunlight.
