Synopsis

The movie The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Miss Osbourne (1981) is a horror film directed by Walerian Borowczyk. The film is a variation on Robert Louis Stevenson’s 1886 novella Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. The story is set in 19th century London, where Dr. Henry Jekyll is about to get engaged to Miss Fanny Osbourne. During their engagement party, a sex maniac sneaks in and turns the event into a nightmarish experience. Dr. Jekyll is determined to separate the good and evil sides of his personality, and he creates a potion that transforms him into his alter ego, Mr. Hyde. However, the transformation is not what he expected, and Mr. Hyde is unleashed as an eruption of sex, death, and sadism.
