Vertical has acquired the distribution rights for the horror movie Natty Knocks and we now have an official release date. It is directed by Dwight H. Little, known for his work on the popular Halloween sequel Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers. Variety has reported that Vertical will release the film simultaneously in North America, the United Kingdom, and Ireland on July 21st, 2023. Update: And we now have a brand new trailer. Take a look below!
The movie brings together a talented cast, including Danielle Harris (from the aforementioned Halloween film), Robert Englund (Nightmare on Elm Street and The Phantom of the Opera), Bill Moseley (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2), Jason James Richter (“The Little Things”), and newcomer Charlotte Fountain-Jardim.
With a script by Benjamin Olson, the upcoming movie Natty Knocks sees Fountain-Jardim taking on the role of a small-town babysitter who, on Halloween Eve, along with her “kids,” has to survive serial killer Abner Honeywell who is himself the traumatized son of B-movie horror legend known as “Natty Knocks.”
Dwight H. Little previously provided this statement to Deadline: “Ever since working with Robert Englund on Phantom of the Opera, I have been looking for a way for us to find a project to do together. Natty Knocks is exactly the small-town horror film I was hoping to find to jump back into this genre.”
“Natty Knocks immediately intrigued us,” added Vertical SVP of Acquisitions Tony Piantedosi, “given its collaboration of prolific horror icons who defined the genre for decades. The film is a testament to Dwight’s experience as a filmmaker, and we’re pleased that we were able to come on board for the project.”
